BRUCE RYAN
SCENIC DESIGNBruce has designed hundreds of television productions—spanning across many different varieties of productions. Bruce has worked on award shows like the Emmys and the MTV Awards, sitcoms including Will and Grace and All of Us, music specials for Cher, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston, award shows including Kids Choice, Teen Choice, NAACP Image Awards, Action Sports Awards, Source Awards, stand-up comedy productions for the likes of George Carlin and Chris Rock, and the 39th GMA Dove Awards.
Bruce has also designed many industrials, galas, and special event sets for clients such as: Tommy Hilfiger, Mitsubishi, American Film Institute, Race to Erase MS ’06, and the Key Art Awards. Bruce has the rare quality of being extremely creative for both television and live events. His reputation as a production designer is held in the highest regard in the Hollywood. His dry, witty sense of humor keeps things lively during production.
Bruce is a member of Art Directors Guild, The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, UCLA Theatre, Film and Television Alumni Association (Master of Fine Arts), and The San Francisco State Theatre (Bachelor of Arts). Bruce is a trustee of the Idyllwild Arts Academy and has the honor of having the Film School’s facility The Bruce Ryan Sound Stage named after his involvement with the academy. He lives in Altadena, California with his wife Loren and their two children.
