Linda Monares

Linda T. Monares is an multi Emmy Award winning Television Director with a passion for creating great projects, while mentoring the next generation of female producers and directors.

A native of Los Angeles, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from U.C.L.A where she majored in Film & Television Communication Arts.

Her first full-time network offer was presented to Linda while was still immersed in her studies    As difficult as the decision was, she opted to stay in school and complete her degree. She would later be hired by that very same network, where she had a 15 year run covering major new events around the world, which won her several Emmys & Golden Mike Awards for her news coverage.

Linda then decided to switch gears and delve into Entertainment Television. She has worked on a number of Talk Shows, Awards Shows, Game Shows, Sit Coms & Variety Shows.

One of her biggest accomplishments was being part of the Time Warner Cable broadcast team which launched two Regional Sports Networks from the ground up.  One in English & the other in Spanish. During this 3 1/2-year period, she was the lead director for team coverage of the Lakers, Dodgers & L.A. Galaxy.  She and the team won several Emmys for their coverage, including a National Emmy for the “Best Studio Sports Show in Spanish,” which was a first for a Spanish language sports program.

Recently, Linda has added “corporate events” and “live-streaming” to her resume with a client list that includes PlayStation, Activision, GameStop, AMD, and E3 PC Gamer.

Of all the awards she has won throughout her career, she is most proud of her “Peabody Award” for children’s educational program which she directed both in English & Spanish called “A Place of Our Own” & “Los Niños En Su Casa,” which aired on KCET.

Linda also makes it a point to “pay it forward,” by mentoring young adults, especially young women that are interested in pursuing a career in television.  Her motto is…”If you do what you love, you will do it well, and you will never work another day in your life!”
